I am inviting few friends for dinner.I need some options to choose from drinks, starter, mainmeal and dessert.

Number of friends invited for the get-together- 12
I like to cook so anything is fine for me to prepare.
Since its for 12 people, how can I serve these large quantity of food? Is there any large aluminium container’s that can be purchased? If yes, from where? and offcourse the guests can have paper/plastic plates. Sorry I am new to US so am still exploring the new place and shops.

Find your nearest wal mart and go to their cooking section. They have a variety of disposable aluminum dishes that you can serve from. You can also pick up some food items from there. As a side you can serve pasta salad. My simple recipe is:
2 bags colored rotini
tomatoes
broccoli
Large bottle Italian dressing

Boil the rotini till done. Drain and place in the serving dish. Wash and chop the tomatoes and broccoli to bite size pieces and place over the noodles. Pour as much Italian dressing as you like. Stir very well and refrigerate covered for a few hours. Remember to stir very well again before its time to serve. You could also add olives if you like. This recipe serves a lot so you may even half leftovers to snack on later.

To keep it simple for dessert just serve up some ice cream to save time and money. Serve it with one or two cookies.
